In my most recent post I noted I would be attending a webinar hosted by Lexipol on homelessness issues for fire departments.

First off – it was great content. Really knowledgeable and skilled folks in the service industry had a structured, but very easy to understand discussion about lessons learned and recommendations dealing with homeless encampments, urban campers and the semi-permanent transient population. Do you even know about Lexipol? I had no idea they existed and have spent some time in the last week digging through articles and resources on the website.

The company has been around since the late 1990’s starting with a law enforcement focus and has had significant growth/expansion in the last five years offering risk management and training solutions for public safety.

It’s an absolutely amazing resource and so much of the content is posted free, open access! I can not recommend this entity enough and am genuinely curious if everyone knows about Lexipol and I was simply in the dark…OR, if this some low key industry secret?

If they’re a secret they shouldn’t be! If you have some time check out the website, there’s stuff for all branches of public safety.
