Dr. Brunacini has a clinical background in substance use treatment, corrections, psychiatric EMS, and community crisis response. Alana has received Masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Psychology, she also holds a doctorate in Integrated Behavioral Health. She has been working with behavioral health in the fire service since 2012.
Alana is the primary editor on the unpublished final work of her grandfather Chief Alan Brunacini (ret.), Cool Command. Recently she has worked with the Professional FireFighters of Arizona as an expert witness regarding member behavioral health benefits HB 2501; South Lake Tahoe Fire and Rescue on leadership development; The Tucson Fire Department on leadership and member wellness, and The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority on internal behavioral health services.
She presents nationally on behavioral health and leadership focusing on internal and external customer service using case studies and best practice. Dr. Brunacini teaches substance use and addictions and crisis and trauma stabilization at the Maricopa County Community Colleges.
